PT UNITED SINDO PERKASA (in short USP) is a 100% subsidiary of Jetlee Shipbuilding & Engineering Pte Ltd (JSE). It was set up in 2006 to own and develop a piece of land in Kabil, Batam into a fabrication and engineering yard to support JSE’s group of companies in their engineering and marine business
Yard DescriptionUSP’s yard is located at Jalan Pelabuhan Lama, Kabil on Batam Island. It is located near to the Kabil Offshore Base cluster. The land allocated is about 7.2 ha in size with a water front of about 400m in length. The water depth is about 3.5 m. In Phase One, USP undertook the following development
- Reclamation of land of 7.2 ha up to 3.5m above ZERO-TIDE sea level
- Built a Workshop 81m (L) x 25 m (W) x 9m (height under the hook), equipped with 10 tons SWL overhead cranes
- Built a Fabrication Shop 81m (L) x 32 m (W) x 17m (height under the crane hook), equipped with 40 tons SWL overhead cranes and 10 ton SWL overhead cranes
- Built a Store 36 m (L) x 25 m (W) x 9m (H)
- Built a Piping workshop 38 m (L) x 25 m (W) x 9m (H)
- Built an Office
- Built a PLN substation and stand-by generator station
- Built a Blasting chamber by 2009

- 1 x 136 ton Linkbelt crawler crane
- 2 x 150 ton Sany crawler crane
- 1 x 50 ton Sumitomo crawler crane
- 120 sets arc welding sets
- 10 sets MIG welding sets
- 2 sets of submerge arc welding sets
- Various generators
- Various compressors for blasting and painting
- CNC underwater plasma cutting machine system.
Machine shop with 17 existing machines ranging from lathes, floor borer, drilling machines etc.
